Study on influence of cognitive behavioral intervention on quality of life of COPD patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the effect of cognitive behavioral intervention for the quality of life of pa-tients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods:A total of 100 patients with COPD were randomly divided into control group and intervention group.The patients in control group received conventional nursing only.The patients in intervention group were treated with cognitive behavioral intervention.The quality of life and pulmonary function (FEV1 and FVC)of patients in both groups were measured by the quality of life scale(QOL)and pulmonary function test.Results:The quality of life score in intervention group was significant-ly increased comparing with that before the intervention,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). The pulmonary function index FVC and FEV1 in intervention group were improved compared with that before intervention,but the difference was not statistically significant(P >0.05).The quality of life score in interven-tion group was significantly different from that in control group(P <0.05 ).Conclusion:Cognitive behavioral intervention can significantly improve the quality of life of patients with COPD.
