Influence of chest compressions frequency and weight of presser on press quality

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the influence of frequency of chest compressions and height,weight and age of the presser on the compressions quality,in order to determine the best pressing frequency,so as to provide the basis for training of high quality chest compressions.Methods:A total of 1 92 new nurses who were recrui-ted in September in 2013 were given the cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)related theories and skills training for three days,and they were randomly divided into 6 groups,including a free pressing group and five leading groups.The nurses in free pressing group carried out the chest compressions for 2 min on the cardiopulmonary resuscitation press model,without any frequency guidance.The nurses in five leading groups carried out chest compressions for 2 min under the frequency in metronome guide 80/min,100/min,110/min,120/min and 140/min. During the compressions,Laerdalcomputer skills reporting system was used to monitor and record the quality indexes data,and then to analyze the data by using the single factor analysis of variance,non parametric test, correlation and regression analysis.Results:Totally 186 cases were included in a study,there were statistically significant difference in press depth,proportion of enough pressing depth numbers,down press/up release pro-portion and fatigue time among 6 groups(P <0.05),and the press frequency which can ensure the best press quality was 100/min;presser’s weight was positively correlated with proportion of correct press number,press depth,proportion of number of enough press depth,down press/up releasing ratio and fatigue time(P <0.05). Conclusion:The metronome can guide the chest compression with frequency stabilization according to the set-ting.Compared with the other frequency 100/min pressing frequency can guarantee enough press depth and ex-tend the presser’fatigue time;the presser’s weight has certain influence on press quality.
