Study on correlation between time management disposition and job burnout of nurses

Abstract：To probe into the correlation between time management disposition and job burnout of nur-ses.Methods:A total of 225 nurses in 3 municipal hospitals in Shenzhen were taken as the research objects.The time management disposition scale and the Markov Burnout Inventory Human Service Survey(MBI HSS) were used for the survey.Results:The total score of time management for nurses was 149.46 ±20.94 ,and the score of time value sense was 37.10 ±6.44.Time monitoring dimension score was 78.05 ±1 1.75.The dimen-sion score of time efficiency was 34.32±5.47.Time management disposition of nurses was negatively related to job burnout.Time monitoring and controlling dimension has negative effect for emotional exhaustion and deper-sonalization(P <0.05).The dimension of time efficiency has positive effect for the dimension of personal accom-plishment(P <0.05).Conclusion:Nurses’time management tendency in Shenzhen municipal hospital was in the middle level.Time management disposition has the forecast function to the job burnout.Managers should strengthen the training of time management skills,and reduce the level of burnout through improving nurses’ effectiveness.
