Application of methylene blue excretion test in nasal feeding of patients with severe craniocerebral inj ury

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the application effect of methylene blue excretion test in determination of na-sal feeding amount and speed of severe craniocerebral injury patients.Methods:A total of 260 cases of severe craniocerebral injury patients were selected as the research objects.They were divided into test group and con-trol group.Patients in test group were given the methylene blue excretion test on the third day,the 8th day,the 15th day after injury.test then according to the blue change time of patients’urine to determine the implementa-tion method,nasal feeding amount and feeding speed of nutritional support.Patients in control group received the enteral nutrition support therapy,to determine the nasal feeding amount and speed according to the volume of gastric retention.And the occurrence of complications and gastric retention,body weight,serum albumin and hemoglobin levels and clinical efficacy were compared between both groups.Results:The incidence of complica-tions and gastric retention in test group was lower than that in control group.The body weight,serum albumin and hemoglobin values and clinical efficacy were higher than that in control group.There was statistically signif-icant difference between them (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion:It has important clinical value to determine nutritional support method,nasal feeding amount and speed for severe craniocerebral injury patients on the basis of the methylene blue excretion test for providing reasonable nutritional support mode,reducing the occurrence of complications such as gastric retention and improving prognosis of patients.
