Study on the status quo of psychological contract of nurses

Abstract：Objective:To know about the status quo of psychological contract of nurses,so as to provide some references for nursing managers using the psychological contract to reduce the loss of nurses.Methods:A total of 436 nurses in 10 third grade hospitals in Jiangsu province received survey by questionnaire method.And then to analyze the influence of different demographic characteristics on psychological contract of nurses.Results:81.19% of the nurses belong to the more positive psychological contract type.However,the nurses’responsibility score was significantly higher than the hospitals responsibility.There were statistically significant differences in nurses’re-sponsibility among nurses with different ages,positions,length of service and salary (P <0.05),there was sta-tistically significant differences in hospital responsibility among nurses with different ages,positions,length of service and salary (P <0.05).Conclusion:Nurses have a more clear understanding on their own responsibility and have higher expectations for hospitals.Hospitals and nursing managers should formulate the targeted incen-tive measures and mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of nurses fully.
