Influence of continuity of care on treatment compliance and quality of life of empty nest patients with cerebral hem-orrhage in rehabilitation period
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of continuity of care on treatment compliance and quality of life of empty nest patients with cerebral hemorrhage in rehabilitation period. Methods:A total of 218 cases of empty nest patients with intracerebral hemorrhage were randomly divided into study group and control group 109 cases each.Patients in control group were given routine nursing interventions.Besides that patients in study group were given continuity of care intervention pattern. Then to compare the treatment compliance,Barthel score and American National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH Stroke Scale,NIHSS)score of patients between both groups at the time of leaving hospital and after intervention for 1 months and 6 months. Results:Compared with patients in control group, the treatment compliance,Barthel score and NIHSS score in study group had been im-proved after intervention for 1 months, but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05).After the intervention for 6 months, the treatment compliance,Barthel score and NIHSS score were significantly higher than that in control group. There was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P <0.01).Con-clusion:Continuity of care mode can help the recovery of neurological function of empty nest patients with cere-bral hemorrhage and improve their quality of life.
