Influence of motivational interviewing with guidance of transtheoretical model on medication compliance of AIDS patients

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the influence of motivational interviewing with the guidance of transtheoreti-cal model on the medication compliance of AIDS patients.Methods:A total of 50 AIDS patients who received the antiviral therapy were randomly divided into control group and observation group,the patients in observa-tion group received the motivational interviewing intervention method with the guidance of transtheoretical model,while the patients in control group received the conventional intervention method,and then to compare the change of medication compliance and CD4 +T lymphocyte count after antiviral treatment for 6 months and 1 2 months between both groups.Results:The patients'medication compliance and CD4 +T lymphocyte count in ob-servation group were all higher than those in control group after antiviral treatment for 6 and 1 2 months,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The motivational interviewing with the guid-ance of transtheoretical model can improve the medication compliance of AIDS patients.
