Survey of scievotific research capacity of nursing undergraduates and its influencing factor

Abstract：Objective:To know about the status quo of research capacity of nursing undergraduates,analyze the related influencing factors of research capacity of nursing undergraduates,aims to provide references for impro-ving the research capacity of nursing undergraduates.Methods:Using quota sampling method,a total of 280 nursing students were selected as subjects in 2014 March from grade 1 to grade 4 in a full time undergraduate nursing school,the respondents received survey by the general information questionnaire,self rating scale of re-search capacity of nursing personnel and nursing scientific research obstacle factors scale.Results:The total score of research capacity of nursing undergraduates was 52.96 ±17.72 and the level of research capacity was low,problem finding ability in which got the lowest score 4.87±2.01,writing ability got the highest score 12.17±4.70,the main influencing factors of research capacity of nursing undergraduates were grade,whether had the declaration of research or not,whether had guidance teacher or not,whether understood the support method of research in school(P <0.05),the battlement factors of research capacity were the limited nursing English level,the obsta-cles of reading foreign literatures,the lack of interests and motive power of research(P <0.05).Conclusion:The research capacity of nursing undergraduates is low,especially the problem finding ability is poor;the school should focus on the training of the problem finding capacity of nursing undergraduates,strengthen the profes-sional English education,support and encourage students to participate in research,train the nursing undergrad-uates’interests in research,strengthen the research motive power and improve the research capacity.
