Survey of common symptoms of peri menopausal women in Shenzhen city and their influencing factors
Abstract:Objective:To probe into the common symptoms and influencing factors of menopausal women in Shenzhen city .Methods:A total of 458 cases of perimenopausal women visited in department of obstetrics and gynecology clinic from 2014 January to 2014 June were investigated by using self designed epidemiological sur‐vey questionnaire ,perimenopausal symptom rating scale (modified Kupperman) ,SCL 90 and social support rating scale (SSRS) .Results:The most common symptoms of perimenopausal women in Shenzhen area were joint muscle pain ,fatigue ,irritability ,insomnia and headache .The modified kupperman scale score was (12 .53 ± 9 .27) .The incidence of moderate to severe peri menopausal symptoms was 12 .7% ,the incidence of moderate to severe symptoms in women widowed ,or with rural cooperative medical insurance ,or with the monthly income in 5 001 yuan to 10 000 yuan ,or with other commercial insurance ,or knowing a lot about perimenopause was higher than that of other women .Perimenopausal women scored higher in somatization ,hostile ,terror ,total score and the number of positive items than the national norm ,the scores in obsessive symptoms and interper‐sonal sensitivity were lower than the national norm .It appeared two way differentiation phenomenon .Total so‐cial support ,objective support ,and support availability were significantly lower than domestic norm .The total score of social support ,objective support score and subjective support score had negative correlation with perim‐enopausal symptoms score .Conclusion:The care of perimenopausal women in Shenzhen area should mainly aim at the crowd who were inclined to moderate to severe perimenopausal symptom to carry out the major interven‐tion on joint muscle pain ,fatigue ,irritability ,insomnia and headache .
