Abstract:Objective:To study the effect of 5A intervention method combined with varenicline for smoking ces-sation of COPD patients in stable stage. Methods:A total of 300 cases of COPD patients were randomly divided into 5A smoking cessation group, varenicline group and combined intervention group,100 cases in each.Patients in 5A smoking cessation group applied 5A intervention method, patients in varenicline group were given oral varenicline, patients in combined intervention group were given 5A intervention on the basis of the oral vareni-cline,then to observe the changes in lung function, smoking cessation rate, hospitalization rate and quality of life of three groups of patients respectively after 1 months,4 months and 6 months after quit smoking. Results:Smoking cessation rates, lung function, hospitalization rate and quality of life of patients in combined interven-tion group were higher than that of 5A group and varenicline group in 1 month,4 months,6 months after the in-tervention,and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion:Using 5A intervention com-bined with varenicline is helpful to improve the smoking cessation rate of COPD patients in stable stage,im-prove lung function, reduce hospitalization rate and improve their quality of life.
