Evidence based nursing of prevention of delirium for ICU awake patients receiving mechanical ventilation

Abstract：Objective:To prevent the occurrence of delirium for ICU awake patients with mechanical ventilation by using evidence based nursing scheme.Methods:Aiming at nursing problems of 35 cases of ICU awake pa-tients with mechanical ventilation,best practice evidences were retrieved on prevention of such patients with de-lirium by computer,which were used for this group of patients and in the effect evaluation.Results:A total of 35 cases of patients during the evidence based nursing,1 case died of causes of disease,1 case discharged automati-cally because of the treatment cost;2 cases had delirium,and it was improved after positive interventions.Con-clusion:Nursing program proposed by using evidence based method can effectively prevent the occurrence of delirium in ICU awake patients receiving mechanical ventilation.
