Appl ication of peer support education in insul in standard injection of diabetes mel l itus patients
Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the effect of peer support education for insulin standard inj ection of diabetes mellitus patients.Methods:A to-tal of 10 diabetic patients voluntarily participated in peer support educa-tion were recruited from the institute of diabetes club membership,they assisted diabetes specialist nurses to conduct insulin standard inj ection ed-ucation for diabetic patients by using teaching and anti teaching method. Before and after education,the self designed insulin inj ection technology and related knowledge questionnaire were used to investigate and observe the influence on glucose metabolism indexes after education.Results:In-sulin inj ection technology,grasping situation of insulin knowledge and glucose metabolism level of 148 cases of patients with diabetes after edu-cation were much better than that before intervention(P<0.01).Conclu-sion:Peer support education can promote patients mastering of insulin in-j ection technology and related knowledge.
