Appl ication of central ized health education mode in health education for low income parents in NICU
Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the application effect of centralized health education mode for low income parents in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).Methods:A total of 110 low income parents in NICU from June to December in 2012 were selected as control group,and they received the routine health education;108 low income parents from January to June in 2013 were selected as observation group,the centralized health education mode was increased for them on the basis of the subj ects in control group. Results:After carrying out the new health education,in observation group the efficiency rate of mastering health education knowledge of low income parents and their j ob satisfaction were higher than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05),Secondary hospitaliza-tion rate was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statis-tically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:The centralized health education can significantly improve the awareness and satisfaction of parents on health education;it is beneficial for improving the compliance of low income par-ents in NICU and reducing the secondary hospitalization rates.
