Observation on application effect of communities of practice for improving the blood borne pathogens occupational protection ability of clinical nursing interns
Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the application effect of community of practice for the blood borne pathogens occupational protection education of clinical nursing interns.Methods:A total of 105 interns from 2010 to 2011 were included in control group,and the traditional model was used in teach-ing of blood borne pathogens occupational protection education.A total of 75 nursing interns from 2012 to 2013 were included in experimental group, and the community of practice was used in teaching of blood borne patho-gens occupational protection education.Results:Nurses in experimental group had better effect than that in control group in conditions of timely washing hands after the three recent contacting with blood,body fluids or pollution items of patients,and reporting timely after the occupational expo-sure(P<0.05).The number of occupational exposure in last three months in experimental group was significantly less than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Community of practice adapts to the learning character-istics of nursing students during the clinical practice stages.It can promote the cultivation of team spirit of nursing students and promote the KAP con-version of occupational protection.
