Study on influence of demographic characteristics of nursing personnel on social support and job burnout

Abstract：Obj ective:To know about the influence of demographic charac-teristic of nursing personnel on social support and job burnout.Methods:Maslach burnout inventory and social support rating scale were used for questionnaire of 229 nursing personnel in three hospitals.Results:There were statistically significant differences in age,marital status,education, j ob title,retaining age,monthly income,preparation,department and oth-er factors between social support and job burnout(P<0.05);nurses’so-cial support was negative correlation with emotional exhaustion and de-personalization,was positive correlation with nurses ’low individual a-chievements.Conclusion:Age,marriage,education,j ob title,nursing age, monthly income,preparation and nursing department can influence the social support and job burnout of nursing personnel;the higher nurses’ social support is,the lower the emotional exhaustion and personification is the higher the low personal accomplishment is.
