Study on reform of competency based vocational nursing teaching methods
Abstract:Objective:To change“theory lecture+skill operation”type teach-ing,cultivate students’independent learning ability and nursing practical a-bility,improve the quality of talents cultivation in higher vocational nursing education.Methods:A total of 3 classes of nursing students(totally 124 ca-ses)in higher vocational school in 201 1 were randomly selected as the ob-servation group,another 3 classes(1 1 1 students)as control group.The pa-tients in observation group received “stimulate interest questioning lead independent inquiry teaching practice evaluation correction to strengthen the promotion”five links of teaching method for teaching practical explore, the patients in control group received conventional teaching.After a year, the teaching effect was evaluated through nursing students’evaluation on teaching,academic achievement and ability of independent learning.Re-sults:The students’evaluation on teaching activities,teaching effect and teachers’guiding role in observation group was better than that in control group,the scores of theory test and comprehensive skill appraisal were higher than that in control group,and independent learning ability assess-ment score was higher than that in control group.Conclusion:“Five links of teaching method”has taken the constructivism learning theory as the basis, and it is more suitable for the cognitive features of higher vocational nursing students,and can guide the nursing students’independent learning and im-prove teaching effect.At the same time,the “five links teaching method”also put forward higher requirements for teachers,and need to carry out op-timization and integration of teaching content.
