Investigation on influencing factors of qual ity of l ife of old people in pension institutions

Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the influencing factors of quality of life of the elderly in pension institutions,so as to provide theoretical guar-antee for industry management department making the pension institu-tions related policies,thereby to improve the quality of life of old people. Methods:Using convenient sampling method and through questionnaires, a total of 375 old people in six pension institutions in Beijing city were in-vestigated on their quality of life and analyze the factors affecting the quality of life of the elderly in pension institutions.Results:The single factor analysis results showed that 1 0 factors were related to the quality of life including marital status,educational level,physical condition,ad-verse events,average daily medication type,ability level,medical pay-ment,economic source,disease index and age;multiple regression analysis results showed that the health and ability level of the elderly were the main factors affecting the quality of life of the elderly.Conclusion:There are many influencing factors of quality of life of old people in pension in-stitutions and the quality of life can be enhanced through improving phys-ical condition and self care ability of old people.
