Comprehensive intervention on elderly patients with functional constipation

Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the prevention and treatment of elderly patients with functional constipation.Methods:A total of 86 cases of elder-ly patients with functional constipation received comprehensive intervention including life conditioning,herbal treatment,biofeedback therapy and man-ual therapy.Results:the curative effect was assessed after 30 days of treat-ment,64 cases with clinical cure(78.05%),improvement in 17 cases(20.73%), unhealed in one case(1.22%),total efficiency was 98.78%.Conclusion:Comprehensive intervention can effectively prevent elderly patients with functional constipation.
