Survey of role cognition and competent level of clinical nursing teachers in Guangzhou City
Abstract：Obj ective:To know about the expectations of students to role of teacher and evaluation on role competent level,as well as the recogni-tion of teachers for their role and evaluation on the role competent level, so as to provide the evidences for clinical teaching managers making teacher role development and management strategies Methods:The clinical nursing teachers role inventory made by Chen Xiaoming was a-dopted to investigate the 78 clinical nursing teachers in two three grade A teaching hospitals in Guangzhou city and 81 nursing undergraduate in-terns in the hospital.Results:Clinical nursing teachers’role cognition self assessment score was(4.52±0.72),the self assessment score of role competence was (4.06 ±0.90),the score of students’expectation to teachers role was (4.49±0.72);all belonged to the “important”level above;score of students’evaluation on teacher’s role competency was (3.36±0.95),and it was in the“general competence”level.Conclusion:Clinical nursing teachers have the clearer perception of their own role, but lack of the role competence.It is imperative to enhance the role competent level of clinical nursing teacher.
