Evaluation on curative effect of Orem’s self care mode in rehabilitation of patients with motor aphasia

Abstract：Objective:ToprobeintothecurativeeffectofOrem’sself-care mode in rehabilitation of patients with motor aphasia.Methods:A total of 176 patients with motor aphasia were selected from January in 2012 to Janu-ary in 2014 in department of neurology in our hospital.The patients were randomly divided into control group and rehabilitation group.Patients in con-trol group received the conventional drug treatment and neurology rehabilita-tion care after stroke,Orem’s self-care mode was used for rehabilitation care for patients in rehabilitation group based on drug treatment.Language function score,listening comprehension,reading ability,writing ability,apha-sia quotient index,functional language communication ability score and apha-sia severity score were observed in both groups before and after treatment. Results:After three months of treatment,the total effective rate of rehabilita-tion group was 94.31%.The total effective rate of control group was 76.14%.There was statistically significant difference between groups (P<0.05 ).Conclu-sion:Orem self care mode is used for language training aiming at level of language loss and obstacles among motor aphasia patients,that can shorten the recovery time of language and improve the ability of language expression and aphasia quotient index.It has great significance in improving the clinical curative effect of the motor aphasia patients.
