Relationship between self care ability and life style,health status, health service uti l ization of the elderly in pension agency
Abstract：Obj ective:To know about the relationship between self care ability and life style,health status,health service utilization of the elderly in pension agency in Urumuqi.Methods:A total of 3 1 7 old people in 1 5 pension institutions were investigated by using self care ability ques-tionnaire and self designed general condition questionnaire from Sep-tember in 2011 to June in 2012.Results:Score of self care ability of the elderly was(106.50±20.46),in the medium level;multiple linear regres-sion analysis showed that the independent influencing factors of the self care ability included health education,education level,exercise,chronic disease,self rated health,drinking and once occupation.Conclusion:Self care ability of old people have some influences on their life style,health status and utilization of health services.Nursing staff in pension institu-tions should make the elderly form the good life styles by improving the self care ability of the elderly,so as to improve the health status,better utilize the health services and improve their quality of life.
