Abstract:Obj ective:To probe into the influence of olive oil on lipid me-tabolism in hyperlipidemia rats. Methods:A total of 50 adult male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model control group and intervention group (rats in intervention group were divided in-to 3 subgroups, namely the low dose group, middle dose group, high dose group). The rats in all intervention subgroups received intragastric ad-ministration respectively with 5 mL/(kg·d),10 mL/(kg·d),20 mL/(kg·d) olive oil.And rats in normal control group and model control group re-ceived gavage with normal saline for 4 weeks. At the same time, rats ex-cept in normal control group were fed a high fat diet every day to estab-lish the model of hyperlipidemia rats.During the experiment, the basic situation of feeding and rats body weight change were observed and re-corded.After 4 weeks, blood samples were collected from the tail end and separation of serum was conducted. And superoxide dismutase in serum of rats(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),total cholesterol(TC),triglycer-ide(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL C),low density lip-oprotein cholesterol(LDL C)of all samples were determined. Results:Compared with the model group,MDA,TC,TG,LDL C decreased sig-nificantly in middle dose group of intervention group. And HDL C and SOD significantly increased.Conclusion:1 0 mL/kg olive oil intragastric administration can make the blood lipid level decline in hyperlipidemic rats, and can improve the antioxidant ability of the rats.
