Appl ication of psychological melodrama teaching method in“psychiatric nursing” teaching

Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the teaching effect of psychological melodrama teaching method used in psychiatric nursing.Methods:A to-tal of 134 undergraduate nursing students in 2009 grade were divided into control group (66 students)and observation group (68 students).Pa-tients in control group used conventional teaching methods for lecture, patients in observation group received conventional teaching and psycho-logical melodrama teaching method for lecture.After the end of the course,the unified questions and same questionnaire were used for evalu-ation of two groups of students on teaching effectiveness.Results:As-sessment results of students in observation group was (86.3±4.2),that in control group was (82.5±5.4),and the difference was statistically signif-icant (t=4.816,P<0.01).Survey results showed that students in obser-vation group were better in stimulating learning interest,promoting awareness and understanding of mental illness and promoting exchange and interaction between students and teachers,enhancing the sense of teamwork and developing innovative thinking than that of control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:The psychological melodrama teach-ing can not only stimulate students ’enthusiasm,but also to promote the improvement of students’creative thinking and communication skills, and it’s psychiatric nursing teaching.
