Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of action research method on health management and rational emotional intervention to improve the quality of life of burn scar patients. Methods 460 patients with post-burn scars admitted to the Burn Department of Changzhou Second People's Hospital from January 2022 to December 2024 were selected. They were divided into a control group(n=222,receiving routine nursing care from January 2022 to June 2023)and an observation group(n=238,receiving health management combined with appropriate emotional intervention, based on the action research method of plan, action, observation, reflection and adjustment, from July 2023 to December 2024).The psychological emotions before and 2 weeks after intervention was compared between the two groups, using the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS),and Psychological Resilience Scale(CD-RISC).Their Quality of Life Comprehensive Evaluation Questionnaire-74(GQOL-74)and incidence of complications were also compared. Results After intervention, the SAS score(28.97±2.74)and SDS score(26.94±2.88)of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(32.69±3.58 and 30.06±3.14,respectively),while the CD-RISC score(69.33±6.07)was higher than that of the control group(64.29±5.81)(t=12.564,11.115,9.084,respectively,P<0.05).After intervention, the physical function(92.13±3.84),social function(88.27±4.13),psychological function(90.06±3.93),material life(96.12±1.05),and GQOL-74 total score(366.58±8.11)of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(88.26±4.01,84.96±4.78,87.46±3.62,93.94±1.58,and 354.62±6.59,respectively)(t=10.573,7.962,7.365,17.536,17.285,respectively,P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 2.10%,which was lower than the control group's 6.76%(χ2=5.987,P<0.05).Conclusion Adopting action research method based health management and rational emotional intervention in the care of burn scar patients can improve negative emotions, enhance psychological resilience and quality of life, and reduce the occurrence of complications.
