Effect of quality control circle on the recovery rate of gastrointestinal function within 48 hours after gynecological abdominal surgery

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle activity in improving the recovery rate of gastrointestinal function within 48 hours after gynecological abdominal surgery.Methods A quality control circle team was formed with the theme of improving the 48-hour postoperative gastrointestinal recovery rate in patients undergoing gynecological abdominal surgery.A total of 100 patients with gynecological malignant tumors admitted to Liuzhou People's Hospital from January to October 2023 were selected.Patients from January to April,when quality control circle activity hadn't been performed,were assigned to the control group(n=50),while those from May to October,when quality control circle activity was being implemented,were assigned to the study group(n=50).The situation of gastrointestinal function recovery within 48 hours after surgery was analyzed,and corresponding strategies were formulated and implemented.Data before and after the intervention were compared.Results The gastrointestinal recovery rate 48-hour after gynecological abdominal surgery increased from 30.00%to 66.00%.Incidences of the intestinal obstruction and the nausea and vomiting were lower in the study group than in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).In addition,the comprehensive abilities of the quality control circle team members were significantly enhanced.Conclusion The quality control circle activity can effectively improve the recovery rate of gastrointestinal function in patients after gynecological abdominal surgery,reduce postoperative complications,and enhance the comprehensive abilities of quality control circle team members,demonstrating significant clinical application value.
