Visual analysis of domestic research hotspots and trends in operating room nursing based on Citespace and VOS viewer

Abstract：Objective To investigate the domestic research focus and development trends in operating room nursing over the past 15 years through bibliometric and visualization analyses of relevant literature.Methods Chinese literature on operating room nursing indexed in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database from 2010 to 2024 was retrieved as the study corpus.Citespace and VOSviewer software were employed for bibliometric and visualization analyses.The publication trend,author and institutional collaboration networks,keyword co-occurrence,clustering,and emergence were analyzed,and a visual knowledge map was constructed.This study aimed to elucidate the current state and research hotspots in this field,providing novel insights and directions for operating room nursing and scientific research.Results A total of 6 000 articles were selected and included.The number of published papers exhibited an increasing trend from 2010 to 2019,followed by a gradual decline thereafter.According to the statistics of research institutions,298 medical institutions or universities contributed to the relevant research,with the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University being the most prolific contributor.Liu Jing,the author with the highest number of publications,ranked first in the field with 13 publications.The journal that published the most articles related to operating room nursing was the World Latest Medical Information Abstract.The top five keywords were"operating room","quality of care","satisfaction","complications"and"application effect".Cluster analysis,combined with specific literature,categorized the subject terms into four groups:operating room,complications,laparoscopy,and incision infection and application.The emergence of keywords was most pronounced from 2010 to 2018,with significant changes occurring from 2014.Conclusion By retrieving relevant literature from the CNKI database and conducting bibliometric and visual analyses using Citespace and VOSviewer software,we can gain a clear understanding of the development and evolution of operating room nursing research over the past 15 years.The current research scope is broad,and the number of participants is growing.However,there is a lack of collaboration among research institutions and researchers,and the number of core research teams is insufficient,indicating a need for deeper and more specialized research.
