Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of bronchoscopic bronchoalveolar lavage combined with new tetracycline drugs in the treatment of children with plastic bronchitis caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of pediatric inpatients treated at Changzhou Second People's Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024.During the treatment process,77 children with non-responsive Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia treated with new tetracycline drugs were selected as the observation group, and 26 children not treated with new tetracycline drugs were selected as the control group. Both groups of children received routine treatments such as nebulization, expectoration and bronchoscopic bronchoalveolar lavage. Results There were no statistically significant differences in erythrocyte sedimentation rate,D-dimer,lactate dehydrogenase, peripheral white blood cells and gender between the two groups before lavage treatment(P>0.05).The observation group showed higher levels of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein and average age compared with the control group(P<0.05).The duration of cough in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of length of hospital stay, duration of fever, duration of pulmonary rales, duration of hormone use, multiple surgery rate, incidence of complications, total effective rate and imaging absorption time(P>0.05).Conclusion For children with plastic bronchitis caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae, the combination of bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage with new tetracycline drugs is equally effective as the traditional combination of macrolides and bronchoscopy. For children with cough as the main manifestation of macrolide drug unresponsive Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia, the new tetracycline drug treatment plan can be prioritized.
