Abstract:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a highly aggressive malignancy with a propensity for intrahepatic metastasis via the portal vein system.Anatomical hepatectomy(AH),which involves the systematic resection of the tumor-bearing portal vein territory, has been proposed as a superior surgical approach to improve oncological outcomes.Modern advancements such as 3D reconstruction have enhanced the precision of this technique, allowing for more accurate resection of the tumor-bearing portal vein territory. This surgical technique is in strict adherence with the oncological and anatomical principles, enabling a more precise excision of tumor tissue while preserving a greater extent of healthy liver parenchyma. It is anticipated that this approach will evolve into a more refined and widely accepted modality, thereby offer an enhanced therapeutic alternative for patients afflicted with liver cancer.
