Abstract:Laparoscopic anatomic hepatectomy is the complete laparoscopic resection of anatomically independently defined liver segments, subsegments,or combined segments. This technique removes the lesion along with the corresponding hepatic segments of the portal vein branching basin, which helps to reduce the risk of tumor dissemination of metastasis in the ruffled hepatic segment via portal vein flow and reduces the incidence of postoperative complications, and is therefore considered the preferred surgical procedure of choice for hepatic resection of liver cancer. This video shows the detailed procedure of laparoscopic anatomic hepatic S8 resection.
