Clinical analysis of single-port laparoscopy in the treatment of ovarian endometriotic cysts

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of single-port laparoscopic surgery in the treatment of patients with ovarian endometriotic cysts.Methods 70 patients with endometriotic cysts who underwent ovarian cystectomy at the First People's Hospital of Yancheng from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into two groups based on the surgical approach,with 35 cases in each group.The control group underwent multi-port laparoscopic surgery,while the study group underwent single-port laparoscopic surgery.Clinical indicators,pain,ovarian function,complications,and recurrence rates were analyzed in both groups.Results There was no significant difference in intraoperative bleeding between the study group and the control group(P>0.05).The study group had a longer surgical time,shorter exhaust time,and shorter hospital stay compared with the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The pain score of the study group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in occurrence of complications between the study group and the control group(2.85%vs.0.00%)(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the postoperative impact on ovarian function between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).The recurrence rate of the study group(20.00%)was not statistically significant compared with the control group(25.71%)(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of single-port laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of ovarian endometriotic cysts has a significant therapeutic effect.Although the surgical time is slightly longer,the patients'postoperative pain is mild,recovery is fast,complications and ovarian function impairment are not increased,and the incision is beautiful and seamless,making it worthy of clinical use.
