Application of the information-based pre-hospitalization system in patients undergoing bariatric metabolic surgery

Abstract:Objective To summarize the establishment and implementation experience of the information-based pre-hospitalization system,and to explore the application effect of rapid rehabilitation on patients undergoing bariatric metabolic surgery.Methods The pre-hospitalization system was officially put into use in the Affiliated Changzhou No.2 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University in May 2022.From October 2021 to April 2022 the records of 213 patients with bariatric metabolic surgery were selected as a group.From May to December 2022 the records of 175 patients were selected as another group.The preoperative hospital stay,average hospital stay and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results Before and after the implementation of the pre-hospitalization system,the preoperative hospital stay of patients with bariatric metabolic surgery decreased from(1.69±1.007)d to(1.09±0.289)d,and the average hospital stay decreased from(5.28±1.340)d to(4.39±0.566)d,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The satisfaction of patients and medical staff was increased(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of the pre-hospitalization system is conducive to improving the satisfaction of patients and medical staff and improving the operating efficiency of the hospital.
