Stability Analysis of an High-steep Slope in Limestone Open-pit Quarry

Abstract：The high-steep slope of a limestone production quarry was used as the research object of stability analysis in southwestern China.Firstly,the engineering geological areas of present slope and end slope is divided,based on the slope engineering geological survey,the structure of slope,and the characteristics of the structural plane.Then,the limit equilibrium method of Morgenstern-Price is used to calculate and analyze the stability of the present and end slope,through out the indoor rock mechanics test to obtained the slope rock quality and the GSI index.The research results show that the present slope and end slope are all stable,and the design parameters of slope is reasonable.At the same time,it also can provides a scientific basis for the safety design and produce in quarry.
