Abstract：Afier several years operation, a peripheral notch of 80mm wide and 40mm deep is appeared on the short section of inlet head flange of φ4. 5m×11. 5m cement mill in Jidonq first production line. Being mended for several times, the hidden danger could not be removed. When adopting spot replacement, a success is made under serious planning and careful construction. This construction is the first done in china and 1.50 million Yuan is saved on capital investment.
