Abstract:This experiment aimed to optimize the microbial fermentation process to enhance the feed nutritional value of mixed straw from wheat, rice, and corn.Single-factor experiments and response surface methodology were employed to systematically analyze the effects of straw mixing ratio, effective microorganisms(EM)inoculant dosage, and fermentation time on the crude protein(CP)content and sensory quality(SQ)of the fermented product. The results showed that the order of factors influencing CP content was as follows:EM inoculant dosage>fermentation time>straw mixing ratio. The optimized process parameters were determined as follows:Wheat∶rice∶corn=1.0∶1.0∶3.0,EM inoculant dosage of 5.0%,and fermentation time of 16 days.Under these conditions, the CP content of the fermented product increased to 7.435%,which was close to the predicted value(7.569%).The study shows that the optimized microbial fermentation process can significantly improve the feed nutritional value of mixed straw.
