Abstract:This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of combining ferritin-Broussonetia papyrifera polysaccharide nanoparticles(FBPPN)with an infectious bursal disease(IBD)and avian influenza(AI)triple inactivated vaccine on growth performance and immune function in chicks.A total of 180 white-feathered broilers at one day of age were randomly divided into six groups, with three replicates per group and 10 chicks per replicate.Groups FBPPN(L),FBPPN(M),and FBPPN(H)were intramuscularly injected with 0.4 mL of FBPPN at concentrations of 30,60,and 120 g/L,respectively.Positive control group received 0.4 mL of 10 g/L Astragalus extract.Pure vaccine group was injected with 0.3 mL of the triple inactivated vaccine, and the blank control group received 0.3 mL of physiological saline. The test lasted for 28 days.Except for blank control group, all other groups were immunized for the first time at seven days of age, followed by a second and third immunization at 14 and 21 days of age, respectively. The results showed that compared with blank control and pure vaccine groups, the average daily gain in group FBPPN(M)was extremely increased(P<0.01),and feed-to-gain ratio was extremely reduced(P<0.01).After the third immunization, all the antibody tests for IBD and AI in the FBPPN groups were qualified.Compared with the blank control group, the immune organ indices in groups FBPPN(M)and FBPPN(H)were extremely significant increased(P<0.01).At the age of 28 days, the serum levels of interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-4(IL-4),and interleukin-6(IL-6)in group FBPPN(M)were extremely higher than those in blank control and pure vaccine groups(P<0.01).The study shows that FBPPN as an immune adjuvant for IBD triple inactivated vaccines, has a good immune enhancement effect, with a better effect at a concentration of 60 g/L.
