Abstract:The experiment aimed to optimize the extraction process of polyphenols from Astragalus sinicus seeds and explore their biological activity. The polyphenols from the Astragalus sinicus seeds were extracted by ultrasonic-assisted solvent extraction, the ultrasonic assisted solvent extraction method was used to extract polyphenols, and the optimal extraction process parameters of polyphenols from Astragalus sinicus seeds were obtained through single factor experiments and response surface optimization experiments. The results showed that when the ethanol concentration was 64%,the liquid to material ratio was 40 mL/g,the ultrasound time was 41 min,and the ultrasound temperature was 44 ℃,the extraction yield of polyphenols from Astragalus sinicus seeds was 9.73 mg/g.The results of biological activity analysis showed that when the concentration of polyphenols in Astragalus sinicus seeds was 50 mg/L,the highest scavenging rates for 1,1-diphenyl-2-trinitrophenylhydrazine(DPPH)radicals and hydroxyl radicals could reach 82.01%and 36.39%,respectively.The study indicates that polyphenols from the Astragalus sinicus seeds have excellent antioxidant properties and can be developed into a natural antioxidant for application in animal production.
