Abstract:This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with three natural plant-derived Tibetan medicines(Lepisorus clathratus,Lagotis spp.,and Terminalia bellirica)on the antioxidant capacity, immune function, and fecal microbiota structure in Tibetan pigs during the nursery period.A total of 40 healthy Tibetan pigs with an initial body weight of(9.30±0.72)kg were randomly divided into four groups, with 10 replicates per group and one pig per replicate. The control group(group CON)was fed a basal diet, while the experimental groups received the basal diet supplemented with 0.5%Lepisorus clathratus(group WW),0.5%Lagotis spp.(group TEC),and 0.5%Terminalia bellirica(group MHZ).The pre-test period was seven days, and the formal test period was 28 days. The results showed that compared with group CON,each experimental group exhibited significantly lower serum malondialdehyde(MDA)content and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)activity(P<0.05),while groups WW and TEC showed significantly higher superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity(P<0.05).Compared with group CON,group TEC had significantly higher serum immunoglobulin A(IgA)content(P<0.05),group WW showed significantly lower interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels(P<0.05),and group MHZ had significantly lower TNF-α content(P<0.05).Analysis of fecal microbiota structure revealed that group MHZ had a significantly higher Shannon index(P<0.05),and each experimental group showed a significant reduction in the relative abundance of Kazachstania(P<0.05).The correlation analysis results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the relative abundance of Kazachstania and the content of TNF-α(P<0.05).The study indicates that dietary supplementation with natural plant-derived Tibetan medicines such as Lepisorus clathratus,Lagotis spp.,and Terminalia bellirica has the potential to enhance antioxidant capacity, regulate immune function, and improve intestinal microbiota community structure in weaned Tibetan pigs.
