Abstract:This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of two different compound biological agents on the production performance and egg quality of laying hens during the late laying period.A total of 216 aged 50 weeks Jinghong No.1 laying hens were randomly divided into three groups, with six replicates per group and 12 hens per replicate. The control group was fed a basal diet, while the experimental groups 1 and 2 were supplemented with 0.2%compound biological agent A and B to the basal diet, respectively. The pre-test period was seven days, and the formal test period was 35 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, the laying rate was significantly increased in experimental groups 1 and 2(P<0.05),the broken egg rate was extremely reduced(P<0.0l).The feed-to-egg ratio was significantly decreased in experimental group 2(P<0.05),and eggshell thickness and yolk color were significantly improved(P<0.05).The study indicates that dietary supplementation with biological agents can effectively enhance the production performance and egg quality of laying hens in the late laying period, with the compound biological agent B demonstrating superior effects in reducing the feed-to-egg ratio and improving egg quality.
