Abstract:The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of TMR particles on the growth performance, apparent digestibility of nutrients, gas metabolism, energy and nitrogen metabolism, and serum indicators of Liaoning cashmere goats.Using a single factor experimental design,30 healthy and consistent weight Liaoning cashmere goats were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with three replicates per group and five goats per replicate. The control group was fed with TMR,while the experimental group was fed with TMR particles of the same formula. The pre-test period was 15 days, and the formal test period was 30 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, there was no significant difference in growth performance, fecal score, and the apparent digestibility of nutrients in the experimental group(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, there were no significant difference in oxygen consumption, methane, and carbon dioxide emissions in the experimental group(P>0.05).The sedimentary nitrogen content showed an increasing trend, methane energy and total heat production were significantly increased(P<0.05),while other energy and nitrogen metabolism indicators showed no significant differences(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in serum nitrogen metabolism, lipid metabolism, antioxidant, and liver function indicators between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).The net income of the experimental group was 21.65%higher than that of the control group. The study indicates that TMR particles have no significant effect on the growth performance and health status of Liaoning cashmere goats, but can increase the breeding income.
