Abstract:This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of different levels of brown algae oligosaccharides on the growth performance, immune function, and intestinal function of weaned piglets.A total of 21-day-old weaned piglets were selected and randomly divided into four groups, with five replicates per group, and 10 piglets per replicate. The control group was fed the basic diet, while the experimental groups added 200,400 and 800 mg/kg of brown algae oligosaccharides in the basic diet, respectively. The pre-test period was seven days and the formal test period was 28 days. The results showed that compared to the control group, adding 400 and 800 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly increase the final weight, average daily feed intake and average daily gain(P<0.05),and significantly reduce the diarrhea rate and feed to gain ratio(P<0.05).Adding 400 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly increase the content of cluster differentiation antigen 4 and immunoglobulin M(P<0.05).Adding 200 and 400 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly increase cluster differentiation antigen 8(P<0.05).Adding 400 and 800 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides to the feed could significantly increase the spleen index(P<0.05),and adding 400 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly increase the mandibular lymph node index(P<0.05).Adding 400 and 800 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides to the feed could significantly reduce the contents of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-a(P<0.05),and significantly increase the content of transforming growth factor-β and interleukin-10(P<0.05).Adding 400 and 800 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly increase the height of jejunal villi and villus to crypt ratio(P<0.05).Adding 400 and 800 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly reduce the content of endotoxin(P<0.05),adding 400 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides could significantly reduce the content of D-lactic acid(P<0.05).The study indicates that adding 400 mg/kg brown algae oligosaccharides to the diet has a better effect on improving the growth performance, enhancing immunity and promoting intestinal health of weaned piglets.
