Study on flocculation and purification technique of stevioside

Abstract：The experiment aimed to explore the best flocculation and purification process of stevioside.Stevioside was extracted by flocculant and ion exchange resin.The extraction was performed using flocculants and ion-exchange resin methods,with process optimization through single-factor tests and a four-factor three-level response surface methodology analysis.The results showed that the order of influence of each factor on stevioside extraction rate was dosage of flocculant＞time＞temperature＞pH value.When the dosage of the flocculant was 0.61％,the temperature was 35 ℃,the time was 40 minutes,and the pH value was 9.30,the content of stevioside in the flocculated liquid was 50.8％.When the ion exchange resin columns were arranged in the sequence 115-762-015-015-015-338-LX22,the content of stevioside could reached 86.4％.The study indicates that the combined flocculation and ion-exchange resin method can produce high purity stevioside crystals.
