Abstract:The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of replacing rapeseed meal with tea residue on the growth performance, muscle nutritional composition, and lipid metabolism in Anabarilius grahami.A total of 360 fish with similar initial body weights were randomly divided into four groups, each with three replicates and 30 fish per replicate. The groups were fed diets in which rapeseed meal was replaced with 0(Group A),1%(Group B),2%(Group C),and 3%(Group D)tea residue. The pre-test period was 10 days and the formal test period was 90 days. The results showed that the profit of all tea residue-supplemented groups was higher than that of Group A.The feed conversion ratio, viscerosomatic index and crude fat content in the muscle of Group C were significantly lower than in Group A(P<0.05).The stearic acid and total n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid concentrations in Group C muscle were significantly higher than in Groups A,B,and D(P<0.05),while its total n-6 PUFA content was significantly higher than in Groups B and D(P<0.05).The total amino acid content was significantly higher in Groups C and D than in Groups A and B(P<0.05).Essential amino acid content was significantly higher in Groups B,C,and D than in Group A(P<0.05),while umami amino acid content was significantly lower(P<0.05).Medicinal amino acid content was significantly higher in Group D than in Groups A and B(P<0.05).Muscle cholesterol content was significantly lower in Groups B,C,and D than in Group A(P<0.05).The study indicates that supplementing 2%tea residue in the diet can improve feed efficiency, optimize muscle fatty acid composition, reduce cholesterol deposition, and deliver the best comprehensive benefits in Anabarilius grahami.
