Abstract:The study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with linseed oil fatty powder at different proportions on the laying performance, egg quality, and egg nutritional components of Silkie chickens.A total of 120 healthy 30-week-old five-black hens with similar body weights were randomly divided into four groups, with three replicates per group and 10 hens per replicate. The control group was fed a basal diet, while the experimental groups were fed basal diets supplemented with 1.5%,2.0%,and 2.5%linseed oil fatty powder. The pre-test period was seven days, and the formal test period was 35 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, dietary supplementation with linseed oil fatty powder significantly increased the egg production rate of Silkie chickens(P<0.05),and significantly reduced the feed-to-egg ratio(P<0.05).Dietary supplementation with 2.0%and 2.5%linseed oil fatty powder was significantly reduced the egg-breaking rate(P<0.05).On the 21st day of the experiment, compared with the control group, the eggshell strength in linseed oil fatty powder groups was significantly increased(P<0.05),the eggshell thickness in the 1.5%linseed oil fatty powder group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the protein height in the 1.5%and 2.0%linseed oil fatty powder groups was significantly increased(P<0.05).On the 35th day of the experiment, compared with the control group, the eggshell strength and egg yolk weight in the 2.0%and 2.5%linseed oil fatty powder groups were significantly increased(P<0.05),the eggshell thickness in the 2.5%linseed oil fatty powder group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the histone height in linseed oil fatty powder groups was significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the docosahexaenoic acid(DHA)content of Silkie chicken eggs in linseed oil fatty powder groups was significantly increased on the 14th and 35th days of the experiment(P<0.05).On the 28th day of the experiment, the DHA content in Silkie chicken eggs in the 2.0%and 2.5%linseed oil fatty powder groups was significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the fat content of Silkie chicken eggs in the 2.0%and 2.5%linseed oil fatty powder groups was significantly increased(P<0.05).The study indicates that dietary linseed oil fatty powder effectively improves laying performance, egg quality, and egg nutritional components in Silkie chicken, with the effect being better when the addition amount is 2.0%.
