Abstract:The experiment aimed to explore the effect of diets with different protein sources on the carcass traits and meat quality in finishing pigs.A total of 72'Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire'ternary hybrid pigs with a weight of(97.27±0.22)kg were selected and randomly divided into four groups, with six replications in each group and three pigs in each replication. The rapeseed meal group replaced part of the soybean meal with rapeseed meal, the cottonseed meal group replaced part of the soybean meal with cottonseed meal, the sunflower meal group replaced part of the soybean meal with sunflower meal, and the mixed miscellaneous meal group completely replaced soybean meal with a mixture of rapeseed meal, cottonseed meal, and sunflower meal in equal proportions. The pre-test period was seven days, the formal test period was 26 days. The results showed that there were no significant differences in carcass traits, organ indices, and meat quality among finishing pigs with different sources of dietary protein(P>0.05).The study indicates that diets with rapeseed meal, cottonseed meal and sunflower meal as protein sources have no significant effect on carcass traits and meat quality of finishing pigs, and can replace part of soybean meal in the production of finishing pigs.
