Abstract:This study optimized the extraction processes of polysaccharides from the fibrous roots(BCFP),root(BCRP),and pericarps(BCPP)of Belamcanda chinensis L.using response surface methodology, and further analyzed their antioxidant activities. The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were as follows:For BCFP,extraction temperature of 80 ℃,time of 2.0 h,and liquid-to-material ratio of 30 mL/g.For BCRP,temperature of 75℃,time of 2.5 h,and liquid-to-material ratio of 25 mL/g,and for BCPP,temperature of 70 ℃,time of 1.5 h,and liquid-to-material ratio of 30 mL/g.Under these conditions, the polysaccharide extraction yields ranked as BCPP(28.861%)>BCFP(24.452%)>BCRP(22.116%).Antioxidant assays revealed that the total reducing power followed the order BCPP>BCRP>BCFP,while the scavenging rates of polysaccharides from different plant parts against both 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)and 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)diammonium salt(ABTS+)free radicals followed the order:BCPP>BCRP>BCFP.The study demonstrates that BCFP,BCRP,and BCPP exhibit significant antioxidant activities, with BCPP showing the highest potential for development and utilize as a feed additive in animal husbandry.
