Abstract:The study aims to investigate the effects of different roughages on the mineral content in meat and serum biochemical indexes in different crossbred combinations sheep. The experiment was conducted using healthy local small-tailed Han sheep,Suffolk sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1,Dorset sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1.The sheep were divided into three experimental groups based on their diet:Corn silage, alfalfa hay,and wheat hay. Each group consisted of 30 sheep, with 10 sheep of each crossbred combination. The pre-test lasted for 15 days and the formal test lasted for 90 days. The results showed that the total concentrations of seven mineral elements(potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and copper)in alfalfa hay group were 7.97%and 11.74%higher than those in whole-crop corn silage and wheat hay group. The concentrations of calcium, iron and copper were the highest in whole-crop corn silage group, sodium and zinc were the highest in wheat hay group, and potassium and magnesium were the highest in alfalfa hay group. The concentrations sodium and calcium in whole-crop corn silage and wheat hay groups were higher than those in alfalfa hay group, the concentrations of potassium and magnesium in whole-crop corn silage and wheat hay groups were significantly lower than those in alfalfa hay group(P<0.05),and the concentrations of copper in whole-crop corn silage were significantly higher than that in wheat hay and alfalfa hay groups(P<0.05).The concentrations of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium in Dorset sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1 group and Suffolk sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1 group were higher than those in small-tailed Han sheep group, and the concentrations of potassium were higher by 372.44 mg/kg and 175.99 mg/kg,respectively.The iron concentrations in meat sheep of Suffolk sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1 group and small-tailed Han sheep group were significantly higher than that of Dorset sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1 group(P<0.05),and the copper concentrations of Suffolk sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1 group were significantly higher than that of Dorset sheep × small-tail Han sheep F1 group and small tail Han sheep group(P<0.05).The serum biochemical indexes of sheep in alfalfa hay group were higher than those in corn silage group and wheat hay group except for glutamic oxalic aminotransferase. The results show that the concentrations of mineral elements and serum biochemical indexes fed with different roughage are different, and the concentrations of mineral elements and serum biochemical indexes of different hybrid combinations are different.
