Abstract:The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of different microalgae on the growth performance, intestinal digestive enzyme activity, and immune function of Oreochromis niloticus.A total of 480 healthy Oreochromis niloticus with similar body weights were randomly divided into four groups, each with three replicates and 40 fish per replicate. The control group was fed a basal diet, while the experimental groups 1,2,and 3 were fed experimental diets supplemented with 3.0%Chlorella powder,3.0%Spirulina powder, and 1.5%Chlorella powder+1.5%Spirulina powder, respectively. The experimental period lasted for six weeks. The results showed that compared with the control group, the final weight of Oreochromis niloticus in experimental group 3 increased significantly(P<0.05),and the weight gain rate of Oreochromis niloticus in experimental groups 1,2,and 3 increased significantly(P<0.05),with a significant decrease in feed coefficient(P<0.05).The specific growth rate of Oreochromis niloticus in experimental group 3 increased significantly(P<0.05).The crude protein content of Oreochromis niloticus in experimental group 3 increased significantly(P<0.05),while the crude fat content was significantly lower in experimental group 3 compared to experimental groups 1 and 2(P<0.05).The protease activity in the intestines of Oreochromis niloticus in all microalgae groups increased significantly(P<0.05).The total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD)activity in the serum of Oreochromis niloticus in all microalgae groups increased significantly(P<0.05),and the serum malondialdehyde(MDA)content in experimental groups 2 and 3 decreased significantly(P<0.05).The immunoglobulin M(IgM)content in Oreochromis niloticus in all microalgae groups increased significantly(P<0.05),and the lysozyme(LSZ)activity in experimental group 3 increased significantly(P<0.05).The study show that the addition of Chlorella powder and Spirulina powder to the diet of Oreochromis niloticus can improve growth performance, enhance digestive enzyme activity, and strengthen non-specific immunity, with the combined addition of Chlorella powder and Spirulina powder showing the best effect.
