Abstract:The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of different levels of Lactobacillus plantarum on the growth performance, serum biochemical indexes, antioxidant capacity, immune indexes, and anti-infection ability of Vibrio harveyi in Lateolabrax maculatus.A total of 450 Lateolabrax maculatus with an initial weight of(173.47±1.49)g were selected and randomly divided into five groups, with three replicates per group and 30 fish per replicate. The Lateolabrax maculatus in the control group(LP0 group)were fed a basic feed, while the experimental group added 1.0×104(LP4 group),1.0×106(LP6 group),1.0×108(LP8 group),1.0×1010 CFU/g(LP10 group)Lactobacillus plantarum to the basic feed, respectively. The experimental lasted for 56 days. The results showed that the Lateolabrax maculatus in the LP6 group had a significant increase in the final weight, weight gain rate, specific growth rate, and superoxide dismutase activity in the liver than other groups(P<0.05).Compared with the LP0 group and LP4 group, the feed coefficient, muscle crude fat, serum triglycerides, and liver malondialdehyde content of the Lateolabrax maculatus in the LP6 group were significantly reduced(P<0.05),while the serum complement, lysozyme, immunoglobulin, and liver total antioxidant enzyme levels were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the LP0 group, the LP4 group and LP10 group, the LP6 group showed a significant increase in the plumpness of Lateolabrax maculatus(P<0.05).Compared with the LP0 group, the LP6 group showed a significant increase in muscle crude ash content(P<0.05),as well as a significant increase in the liver catalase and glutathione peroxidase activity(P<0.05).The experiment indicates that Lactobacillus plantarum can improve the growth performance, immunity and antioxidant capacity of Lateolabrax maculatus, enhance the body's ability to resist Vibrio harveyi infection and adding 1.0×106 CFU/g of Lactobacillus plantarum has a good probiotic effect.
