Abstract:The aim of the study was to compare the serum immune and antioxidant indexes of Mongolian and Simmental cows grazing naturally on Xilin Gol grassland in Inner Mongolia.Ten Mongolian and Simmontal cows with similar age and parity were selected and GC,ACTH,GH,T3,T4,IL-1,IL-2,TNF-α,IgG,T-SOD,GSH-Px,T-AOC and MDA were determined by ELISA.The results showed that the serum GC and ACTH content of Mongolian cattle were significantly lower than those of Simental cattle(P<0.05),and T3 content were significantly higher than those of Simental cattle(P<0.05).The content of IL-2,IFN-γ and IgG in serum of Mongolian cattle were significantly higher than those of Simental cattle(P<0.05).The activity of T-SOD and GSH-Px in serum of Mongolian cattle were significantly higher than those of Simmental cattle(P<0.05),and the content of MDA was significantly lower than that of Simmental cattle(P<0.05).The study indicates that the disease resistance of Mongolian cattle is stronger than Simmental cattle under the same grazing conditions.
