Abstract:Anti-IgLON5 antibody-associated encephalopathy is a rare neurological disease, and the combination with cytomegalovirus encephalitis is even rarer. The clinical manifestations of anti-IgLON5 antibody-associated encephalopathy include sleep disorders, cognitive impairment, motor dysfunction, bulbar symptoms (dysarthria, dysphagia), and autonomic dysfunction, with sleep disorders as the core manifestation. Patients have positive anti-IgLON5 antibodies in serum and/or cerebrospinal fluid, and they respond poorly to immunotherapy [1].
